How co-op works

GRAIN ROT supports solo and online co-op through player-hosted servers. Patch 1.07 added public servers that appear in an in-game browser, password protection and more host settings. This is public server discovery, not a claim that the game runs official dedicated servers. Every joining player still needs their own copy.

Choose a public, password or friends session

For a public game, open the in-game public server browser and choose a player-hosted listing. For a private group, the host can set a password or use the Steam friends/invite flow. Patch 1.07 also allows friends of anyone already in a friends/invite session to join, so the session is not limited to the original host's direct friend list.
